some редко можно увидеть в вопросах и отрицаниях.
Beginner or not, the statement is misleading. It was sufficient to say that "in negative sentences we
almost always use ANY and not SOME.
Получается some часто используется в вопросах при наличии в нем предложения чего-либо или просьбы.
Not necessarily. ANY is more usual in questions than SOME and it leaves the answer open. But we use SOME to give the question a more positive tone.
Is some of the information useful? (I expect that a part of it is.)
Is any of the information useful? (I have no idea if it is useful or not.)
In some questions ANY doesn't sound right:
Is some some jerk singing in the hallway?
Are you some kind of psychic?
