I've just come across an interesting web-page: http://www.conveythis.com/translation.php
The script imbedded in the page goes to the Google translator and translates the sentence you've submitted into one of the languages that Google offers, then back into English again. The process can be repeated up to 56 times.
I took the first sentence (shortened because of the length restrictions of the service) from Chapter One of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", and this is what I got:

"Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the bank, and of having nothing to do: once or twice she had peeped into the book her sister was reading, but it had no pictures or conversations in it."
= (?)
"It is not my sister, a book or two interviews and rensburg with his sister Alysia, but the track is good to stay on the West Coast."
