Моё письмо про рыб. Какие ошибки?

c той стороны не носители но хотелось бы без косяков.

There is one kind of fish at our place that can be caught just one month
a year. In May. Now!
Everybody here likes this fish and buy and eat it often while it’s possible.
Soon it’ll disappear.
The main peculiarity of that fish is that it smell like FRESH CUCUMBER (!!!)
It’s called «Корюшка» (smelt)

Another surprising fish here is «Минога» (lamprey). It looks not like fish
but like real SNAKE. Besides, it can live out of water for a very long time.
And when you buy it and bring home and put it in frying pan to fry, it may suddenly
get alive and try to escape. The scene looks scary because they crawl all around and stick fast to everething.
