Добрый день. Помогите пожалуйста найти ошибки в тексте о моем самом кошмарном путешествии.

A nightmare journey I remember was four years ago. I had a holiday at that moment and I was in other town than my job. That day I was celebrating with my friends it was a rehearsal of a New Year party, suddenly my phone had called. It was my boss, he said I must go to Moscow as soon as I can.
I said "Bye" everyone, caught a taxi and went to railway station. Almost all trains were full, but there were few available tickets. I bought one. The train was at 23 p.m. and I was waiting 2 hours.
Because of I drank some alcohol I wanted to sleep, so when I got on the train, I followed my seat and slept.   
Next day I had hangover. I had headache, I felt very bad. Unfortunately there was an sleet (icy rain) that night and my train was late like the hundreds other trains. The sleet torn (broke) wires and many electric train couldn't move, in addition the rails were covered ice and it needed time to clean them.
So the train arrived to Moscow after 7 hours of scheduled. I left very fun party, I suffered in hot, stuffy coach and I couldn't make work.
It was really a nightmare journey in my life.

 another town than my job. - неудачное сочетание - как лучше сказать, что находился не в том же городе, где работаю?
I followed my seat and slept. - проследовал к своему месту и уснул.
fun (Какой?) - видимо funny

Попробуйте использовать глагол попроще, чем to follow - Вы же просто переместились в пространстве по направлению к своему seat. А это всего-навсего глагол to ... (две буквы)
А как по-английски "уснуть". Заметьте - не "спать" (to sleep) , а "уснуть", "заснуть", "вырубиться"?
И как переводится на русский funny?

И как переводится на русский funny? - я имел в виду веселую (вечеринку)

А как по-английски "уснуть" - (погрузиться в сон) fall asleep, go to sleep - от меня этот ответ требовался?
