ZhangJiaJie

In my last trip in China I decide to make little deviation from usual work route Shanghai-Guangzhou and look China more deeply in the middle.



For this excurtion I have planned some days and choose the quite famous place, which have been main decoration in film Avatar. Place's name is ZhangJiaJie. It is located in Hunan province.



I had fly to ZhangJiaJie by plane from Shanghai. ZhangJiaJie is a not a big town in mountain district in Hunan which economically aimed on turism, mostly domestic. Industrial development in such districts is very obstructed, 'cause there has not access to sea port and import infrastructure, which peculiar to coast's zones aimed for export development.





Thus, towns like ZhangJiaJie forced to improve a turistic buisness for attraction of cash flow. This way for redistribution of money from coast's big and rich cities allow to give possibility for existing in mainland in more or less civilized style. At least I didn't see there poorness and poverty. Yes, people is less prosperous than Shanghai, but level of life fairly decent.






For earn money people basically specialised servises of different kind. Restaurants,  hotels of any sizes, touristic guidance agencies at cetera. Wherein, it is all oriented generally for local, domestic tourists. Yes, there are everywhere english inscriptions on pointers and signes and certain amount of foreign tourist's flow costantly present.






But on general mass of people which going there for look those interesting mountain country are chinese from other cities. Predominantly developed cities. As you could see, chinese already doesn't work for plate of rice. All these signs of civilisation like Toyotas and Iphones there everywhere inside country too.

Nature in national park ZhangJiaJie very fresh. On pedestrian walk to up on a plateau on this creek I had seen wooden devise of ancient construction for lift water up from creek. Very intersting for me as I interested in different kinds of technical gizmo. It really works very easy and effectively and consist of just wooden parts. It is still exist here but sure only as attraction for gawkers.

All park has a stone tracks for pedestrians.



I think it was a big work, 'cause deliver here materials fairly difficult.

Ways in canyons everywhere equipped by such tracks.

I had tried to count staps but across some time lost.

On the top are roads and free bus rides from one side plateau to other. There are different buildings and some hostels and restaurants.



Here I am goung down by cableway. Very good view.

This is another cableway in other part of park, nearest to town. It leads on Tian Men. Heaven Gates. Cableway start from center of town and goes up to the mountain. Here is much more higher and nature is different.







I think such cableway of european production is pretty expensive structure for chinese town especially for local tourism, but nevertheless it is exist. Ticket cost is about 10 $ and people flow is permanent.



On top everywhere these tracks on traverse of cliffs. If I alredy said that in canyons tracks building is difficult, so here and even more so.



Excellent place for desperate suiciders for end one's days. Height pretty much, but exactly not visible because for clouds and fog.





It is not a cave. It is tunnel for pedestrians to go across cliff on other side.







To builders question. This ass used by them for delivery of materials which they needs for repair of paths. All those tracks constantly require attention and renew. Small crews of simpleway builders permanently ply on the park territory with own asses and make this job.

It is Tian Men. Here is a popular place for crazy men in wing suits which jumps down from top. I saw them once but couldn't to catch in objective.
