.... I'm not the only person here to help you, so don't limit your options by addressing your requests to me. Besides, the time difference can play against you! Anyway, here it is - enjoy! 1. The story was written by Pushkin , a famous Russian writer. 2. ok 3. ok 4. We left on warm July afternoon. 5. ok 6. We don't go to the theatre very much these days. In fact in the town there is no theatre. (or not any theatre) 7. The men aren't allowed to drink alcohol, so Paul has tea with his meals. (You can also say ‘Men’, but the meaning is different. Without the context, I wouldn’t know which one you want) 8. ok 1. She looks older as she is rather tall for her age. 2. ok

They sell fruit and vegetables in the greengrocery. At the greengrocer's you can buy tomatoes and cucumbers.

asil .... Sorry, I missed " a in a warm warm July afternoon. (#4) as to the rest (See Chaika's answers), well, it's open to interpretation... there isn't (?) theatre. Is it possible to say. There isn't the theatre. What do u think? No it's not possible. It's either 'no theatre' or 'isn't any theatre'. That's the problem with the task like this. If you have to, just for your teacher's sake, put ' a'. Just to do what you are asked to! There isn't a theatre... (brrrr  )

Можно ли поставить после фраз to be surprised\annoyed\disappointed\shocked вместо предлога AT предлог BY ? Можно даже with. Т.е. to be annoyed, shocked, surprised, etc могут быть как прилагательными, так и passive verbs. Т.е.
